Newsletter 1st July – 31st July 2012

This month of July has been very different from what we had in all these past years. The weather was very changeable, sometimes very dry and hot, other days very windy. The food in the bay was not too much either so we ended up having a very small sample of minke whale and white-beaked dolphin sightings.
However, from 1st July to 31st July 2012 18 minke whales, 27 white-beaked dolphins were photographed and identified. Among them, 6 minke whales and 14 white-beaked dolphin have been already identified from previous years.
Here we want to present the re-sighted animals to you and tell you a little about each individual sighting history, as well as showing you some of the best photos which were taken by the research team this past month.

Download and Enjoy!

p.s. I very special thanks goes to Nicolas, Océane and Tina for helping me out in the field this month in collecting photo-IDs of whales and dolphins.
